Hey! Real “election interference” in the Capital District, caught on video!

I’m totally skeptical when anyone screams of “election interference.” You know, the clandestine crackpot claims of fake pre-filled ballots and security-cracked election machines and all that. People who believe that stuff probably also believe that [insert wackadoodle story here].

Well, I’ve got news for you. I actually have proof of a clear-cut election interference action. Right here in the Capital District. In Scotia, no less. That’s right, some filthy politician actually committed mail fraud to try to convince someone to vote for him and not for his opponent.

And the evidence was caught on a Ring video doorbell camera.

This is priceless.

We take you now to Scotia, New York. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Capital District, Scotia is a town just outside of Schenectady. It’s a decent neighborhood, and if you’re hungry for some summer outdoor food, you can’t go wrong with Jumpin’ Jack’s Drive-In. Get the Jack Burger, you won’t regret it.

Anyway…

So apparently Joseph Mastroianni, who happened to go door-to-door to hand out his election flyers (he’s running for the State Assembly position currently held by Angelo Santabarbara), decided to take Santabarbara’s election flyer out of a person’s mailbox, put that flyer in his pocket, and stuff his OWN “vote for me” flyer in that person’s mailbox.

I should note that Santabarbara is the six-time incumbent for that State Assembly seat. And he’s a Democrat.

If he’s a Democrat … take a wild, wild guess which party Joseph Mastroianni represents.

Yeah. That one.

But you say to me, “Chuck, you promised video.”

I keep my promises.

Couple of things here. The homeowner, like me, uses USPS’ informed delivery service, which emails the recipient a list of mail that will arrive in the mailbox that day. For me, for example, I could open my email and know that I will receive a bill from the Green Island Power Authority, a charity request from a non-profit, and my latest Amazon purchase. Simple.

So this homeowner actually RECEIVED that informed delivery email saying there was an Angelo Santabarbara flyer in the mailbox. And the Ring doorbell video clearly shows that the mailman DID deliver an Angelo Santabarbara flyer to that mailbox. The same flyer, mind you, that Republican State Assembly candidate Joseph Mastroianni pulled out of the mailbox and stuffed in his jacket pocket – and replaced with his OWN flyer.

Hmm … somewhere along the line, Mr. Mastroianni violated several laws regarding intercepting mail that wasn’t his, destroying mail that wasn’t his, and stuffing his own mail in that person’s box as if it was an advert for the new Chinese takeout place.

And when confronted with this clear evidence of his actions, Mastoianni did exactly as you expected.

He deflected the question and, seeing as he had the microphone and a news channel filming him, went into campaign mode to talk about other matters.

Yep. Just another MAGA chud who claims there are nefarious people who try to circumvent election rules, and “whoops” – he’s one of them.

At this point, I hope Assemblyman Santabarbara takes that Ring video footage and turns it into a campaign ad. Because obviously Joseph Mastroianni is not qualified to run for elected office.

Heck, I don’t even think he’s qualified to work as a postal carrier.
